Gold-plated. The gold option is brass with 18K gold PVD plating: a thin, hard layer of gold colour bonded to the metal, not gold all the way through. The silver option is 925 Sterling Silver Plated.

Shine a light through the pendant, like your phone flashlight, and the photo appears on a wall or your hand. You can also see it by looking closely through the stone.

Not covered: broken chains or clasps, lost stones, scratches, dents or bending, normal wear of the plating, and damage from chemicals, swimming or sleeping in the piece.
